In gearing up for our first major trade show at the Seaport World Trade Center, we've reached back out to our long time friend and consultant on graphics Chris Marston at Stonefish Workshop. Stonefish Workshop is a graphic design studio located in the heart of Portland, Maine.
SO WHAT IS NEXT?In addition to an advertisement banner that will be hosted on the New England Home Show's website for the 2016 spring event in Boston, we will be collaborating on the backdrop to our exhibit.
Given the volume of about 30,000 that attend the event as well as potentially participating in future home trade shows across New England, we trust a collaborative effort working remotely with Chris will result in a stunning visual to hopefully draw visitors to the trade show to our booth. In case you missed it ... You can find us at Booth #801 We connected with Scott Orlowski, president of Apex Engineering located in Rochester, MA through a mutual contact. The general contractor recommended Scott for structural engineering and we were impressed after our initial meeting. Scott has opened his firm over 5 years ago during the economic downturn and still managed to keep the work flowing to support the growth of the company. A member of BNI South Coast in New Bedford, MA which is a Business Networking International group with a local ties to support the growth and development of business in the area. Scott is heavily involved in the successful networking and expansion of his structural engineering trade.
We have dealt with Dan Washburn from Washburn Construction on our Featured Residential project in East Freetown, MA. As well as a long-time friend, Dan has the industry experience and quality of craftsmanship that you really look for in a good general contractor. Make no mistake about it, one of the most important aspects to any new construction or remodel is who you select for your contractor. You should never base your selection off price alone. As the old saying goings "you get what you pay for" We've worked with several local contractors in the Southern Massachusetts area since starting our firm, which you can find out more About Us. Quality, Service, Craftsmanship, Price, Responsiveness and Reliability are just a few pieces to the puzzle that should be considered when interviewing and selecting your general contractor.
MAKE SURE YOU SELECT THE RIGHT CONTRACTOROne aspect to the Services we provide, as well as other architects, is assisting you in interviewing, making recommendations and even being by your side during the bidding and negotiations.
The design and drafting part of the project is the less stressful and more exciting phase. During construction you'll run into the unknown variables for what exists in the walls and floors. You can also expect delays from city approvals, material shipments, subcontractor scheduling, and several more regardless of who your general contractor is. But ensuring you select the right one for your project is important to your satisfaction and hopefully stress-free construction process. Washburn Construction is one we would happily refer you to. |
