A six-week-plus snow siege in January-February 2015 had parts of New England blowing past all-time records coming in at a total of 110.6 inches of powdery fluffy goodness in Boston, MA. Except we'd say after that much snow, we were happy when spring rolled around. Below is just a few images of the massive amounts of snow that landed near East Freetown, MA. As you can see the mailbox in the lower image or even the upper left has a well that sticks up about 3' from the ground. Both of which are nearly covered and at several times during the winter were completely submerged from eye sight.
It has been some winter primarily because it was fairly warm during 2014 and then turned quickly for the worse with storm after storm hitting again and again. We had heard some stories from local plow companies that 24hr services were being undertaken by many drivers; being out on the road continuously paving roads, highways and parking lots. Considering this was the first year we began the start-up architectural firm, working from home could not have come at a better time. No more commuting into Boston saved a ton of time! |
