I realize I haven't had a ton of time to jump online here to update the blog as there have been many aspects to our business that have started to grow. So I just wanted to take the time upon coming to a close in 2016 to reflect a little on the past year as well as mention some things that I haven't been able to cover in past posts this year.

Although we at 8TFive Studio have this small blog to keep guests and followers up to date on projects, designs and events we might be participating in, we also started HomeIdeasHQ.com The reason for such was to establish a more broad residential home ideas blog where visitors could not only get inspiration from daily but also easily reach out to design professionals. After looking at other home idea websites, it seemed that many (some better than others) were reproduced material and/or graphic content without the expertise to back it up. We want to give other design professionals a platform to share their knowledge! Be it with new homes, tiny houses, modular homes or even DIY tips from professionals. SO 8TFIVE STUDIO FOUNDED HOMEIDEASHQ.COMIt started as a part-time development. Some initial time was spent building up the platform and then publishing some content but our focus shifted away while it sat there. However with the dawn of 2016, we wanted to revisit the user interface and move it forward.
MOST POPULAR POST - TINY HOUSESBy far our current most popular post to date has about 25,000+ views and has been shared over 400 times on social media. A growing trend of the increasing popularity of tiny houses.

After many foosball matches and two office tournaments at an old firm up in Boston, we picked up the table upon hearing they were relocating to a new space and didn't utilize it much anymore. With help from a few employees we disassembled the sturdy wooden legs and rolled it out to the parking garage. We then delivered the table to a local non-profit organization in Brockton.
A ROAD TO RECOVERYThe non-profit reaches, rescues and restores men from the grip of drug and alcohol addiction through a faith-based recovery program empowers real and lasting life transformation.
We were contacted by the organization several years ago to assist them in developing plans to help expand their facilities. It has been our pleasure to work with such an amazing group and hopefully create a space for them to seek out a new path in their lives. Upon dropping off the foosball table, it was immediately clear that these guys were happy to have it and couldn't wait to start playing. Hopefully it will last them long into the future! Have fun guys! - 8TFive Studio |
